artistic approach:

For several years, I have continued my pictorial research, drawing inspiration
from the landscape as a place of meditation. It is from a vision influenced as
much by my personal experience with the nature that surrounds me as by the
literary essays of the philosopher Gaston Bachelard that I approach its countless
possibilities.
The landscape is presented as an imagery at the base of the experience of
contemplation. From this material reverie emerge as many meditative variations.
The place, as long as the viewer is receptive, is conducive to understanding
one's own intimate universe. The image acts as a metaphor for states of mind.
The elements of earth, water, air, and fire take on their meaning according to the
fascination they exert on each of us.
Through their suggestive imagery, my paintings address the presence of these
four elements, generators of underlying life, intrinsic bubbling, and introspection.
