BIOGRAPHY: 

Jean-Louis Émond is a Quebec sculptor and painter born in Montreal in 1957. A graduate in Visual Arts from UQAM, he is recognized for his steel and bronze sculptures, in which he transforms the rigidity of metal into light, organic forms filled with movement. His work explores themes related to the human condition through a subtle interplay of light, shadow, transparency, and balance. Exhibited throughout Canada, the United States, and Europe, his sculptures are included in numerous public and private collections, reflecting an artistic practice that is both poetic and contemporary.

artistic approach: 

Jean-Louis Émond's artistic approach explores the relationship between material, space, and movement. Working primarily in steel and bronze, he transforms rigid materials into graceful, organic forms that appear remarkably light and fluid. His sculptures examine the human condition through a refined interplay of structure, light, transparency, and balance.
